Feeling the cold :-(

I'be unfortunately caught a cold, so have spent most of the day snuggled up in bed with my electric blanket.

I did however make tea, a full grill up with bacon, sausage, egg and beans for hubby. I had some leftover mash potato from last night, so I mixed that with some fried onion and some extra bacon and made myself some potato cakes. Gorgeous!

I can't believe it's 2013 !!

We're hoping that this year will be a better one for us.  2012 was a bad year - the death of hubby's mum, moving to the pub and moving back again, hubby not having a job for ages, recovering from a major operation, worrying ourselves sick about whether we'd lose the house......yep, glad to see the end of that year.

So we're all positive about this brand new year.  New plans, new start.

Today I've used mySupermarket for the first time (even though Lucy had been telling me about it for ages). I didn't realise how good it was - it even advised me to split my shopping into two shops to save another £15, which even after the additional delivery charge was still a good saving.

We're sorting out our gardening and money saving ideas for the year, and having a major clear out at home of all the crap that just accumulates.

On the whole, we're happy and positive...welcome 2013!!
